Chris Scott is a dedicated husband and father who understands the challenges and opportunities facing families in Sault Ste. Marie. He and his wife, Coline, are the proud parents of three beautiful children.Like so many parents in our community, Chris is committed to building a strong, thriving future where his children—and all families—can succeed.
Chris’ passion for public service began with his studies at Carleton University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government. Since then, he has built a career focused on public policy, communications, and government administration, working to get real results for the people of Ontario and Sault Ste. Marie.
With experience at both the local and provincial levels, Chris has served in a variety of roles, from assisting Sault Ste. Marie residents in their local office to serving as Chief of Staff in multiple Ministry offices. Most recently, his work in the Premier’s Office has strengthened his ability to navigate government processes and advocate effectively for the region.
Chris has been a relentless champion for Sault Ste. Marie, helping to secure job growth at OLG and key investments such as the Black Road expansion, the Algoma Steel EAF project, and operational and capital funding for Northway, among others. His deep-rooted commitment to Northern Ontario and his proven track record of delivering results make him the strong, experienced leader Sault Ste. Marie needs to move forward.
